Help a Community Trust

Empowering Communities, One Life at a Time.
Our History

Help a Community Trust (HACT) began as a small community-based organization in 2005, driven by the urgent need to improve healthcare access in rural Malawi. Over the years, our commitment to delivering quality healthcare services has transformed us into a registered NGO. Today, we partner with Kochilira Rural Hospital and serve over 10,000 people across 25 villages, focusing on vulnerable populations such as children, mothers, and the elderly.

OUR APPROACHES

The organization has two approaches to supporting individuals and groups.
Individual Support
We aim to improve the lives of individuals before reaching out to the community for multiplication effects.

Group Support
We develop community-based group interventions that transform group lives, which in turn improves households and communities beyond.
